Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is CBD?

Cannabidiol or CBD is just one of over 85 cannabinoids discovered so far in the cannabis plant. CBD is present in more significant quantities in hemp than marijuana, and because it is non-psychoactive, CBD is widely regarded as the cannabinoid with the most medicinal potential by researchers. CBD interacts with the body’s natural endocannabinoid system to promote homeostasis.

We suggest you find your own research on CBD and cannabinoids from a trusted source to determine if a CBD hemp oil supplement is right for you.

2. What is in your hemp oil?

Besides CBD, our hemp oil contains various other cannabinoids, Omega 3 & 6 essential fatty acids, and over a dozen vitamins and minerals, like iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamins A, B, C, and E, and beta-Carotene, often missing from the average diet. Due to this nutritional content, full-spectrum CBD hemp oil can be a complete daily dietary supplement.

3. Do cannabidiol (CBD) and other natural hemp based constituents show up on a drug test?

Fortunately, the urine drug screen for THC and its metabolites is known to have very little cross-reactivity to other cannabinoids that are not psychoactive, such as CBD, CBG (cannabinoil), and others. Therefore, since CBD oil derived from hemp containing only trace amounts of THC, a hemp oil routine shouldn’t cause a user to fail a drug test.

However, a consumer using extremely high daily quantities of CBD of 1000mg a day or higher may be exposed to around 3mg of THC per day, possibly enough to trigger a positive result on a drug screen. A consumer who uses the standard daily servings of CBD listed on our products’ packaging is unlikely to test positive for THC. We do not guarantee or promise that using or taking any of our THC inclusive products will pass any drug tests you may forego.  If you would like to purchase NON THC products please check out our RSHO X line here

4. How do you make sure you provide quality products?

All our hemp crops are grown free of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, so our quality and safety starts with our hemp plants.

From the time our hemp oil is harvested to the manufacturing and shipping of our products, we Triple Lab Test™ our hemp oil to ensure accuracy in potency information and to check for contaminants like pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, and mold.

We also use a supercritical CO2 method when we extract our hemp oil, instead of harsh chemical solvents. CO2 is a much healthier choice than other potential solvents and is “generally regarded as safe” (GRAS) by the FDA.

5. Are your products legal?

In the U.S., CBD derived from hemp is considered a dietary supplement and is legal to purchase and ship across the United States. Because our CBD hemp oil is an imported hemp product and contains less than 0.3% THC by weight, it is exempt from the Federal Controlled Substances Act prohibition on marijuana.

Hemp oil laws become less uniform on a global level. If you’d like to know if CBD hemp oil is legal in your country, contact our customer service team or check with your local authorities.

6. Will your products get me high?

No. Our products are all made with high-CBD, low-THC hemp oil. CBD itself is non-psychoactive, and THC, marijuana’s psychoactive compound, is only present in trace amounts – not nearly enough to cause the high associated with marijuana.

7. Do I need a medical card to buy your products?

No. Because our products are dietary supplements, there is no need to obtain a doctor’s recommendation or to live in a medical marijuana state to have our products delivered to your door.

However, before beginning any new supplement routine, it is suggested you consult your doctor.

8. How much CBD should I take?

This is a difficult question to answer because our customers find differences in their personally optimal serving size. We suggest you start low and ease your way up to larger servings if desired until you find the daily CBD levels that work best for you.

If you have questions about which CBD product may fit your needs, please contact our customer service department.

9. Can your products cure/treat my…?

Because our CBD hemp oil products are categorized as dietary supplements in the United States, we comply with the FDA’s DSHEA guidelines and cannot endorse any specific medical benefits of CBD or our hemp oil.

We encourage you to browse the thousands of reputable studies regarding CBD published online and talk with your doctor to see if a CBD supplement is right for you.

10. Which CBD hemp oil product is right for me?

This will depend on your own personal preference, desired CBD quantities, and preferred means of application. Typically, CBD products fall under one of two categories: topicals, which are applied externally, or dietary supplements, which are taken internally.

The Natural Hemp Oil online shop has a wide selection of products featuring different flavors, potencies, and consistencies from which to choose. You can also visit our Hemp CBD Education page for more information about our different products.

11. Where does your hemp come from?

Our hemp comes from family farms in America where hemp has been cultivated for generations. After tireless research into the political, economic, and agricultural landscape of growing hemp, we settled on America as the ideal location to grow our crops. When we discovered a farming cooperative of 750 families nestled in the idyllic American countryside, we knew we found the partners we were looking for to cultivate the hemp used in our products.

12. What’s the difference between CBD hemp oil and the hemp products I buy at the grocery store?

Hemp products sold in grocery and health food stores are most often created using hemp seed oil, which can contain only trace amounts of CBD. While it has been noted that hemp seed oil can be a great source of nutrition, its marginal quantity of CBD per weight makes it unfeasible as a CBD supplement.

Our CBD hemp oil, however, is extracted from the stalk of specifically selected hemp cultivars, offering higher percentages of CBD by weight and additional nutritional benefits from the contents of our oil.

13. Why does your hemp oil come in a syringe?

Our RSHO™ and Dixie Botanicals Stix come in a syringe or “oral applicator” for easier measuring of servings and more convenient dispensing. There is no needle, and our pure hemp oil is typically applied to a spoon or butter knife and taken under the tongue. You don’t inject our CBD hemp oil; you consume it orally.

14. Why should I buy CBD from Natural Hemp Oil?

We strongly suggest customers purchase any health related products from a source they can trust. As the company first responsible for creating the CBD hemp oil product category, a safe, legal way to give millions of people access to these products, we feel that anyone considering CBD products should start with us.

We also lead the industry with our proven production and product testing guidelines. As previously mentioned in this FAQ, our products are grown free of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, and our hemp oil is extracted using CO2, instead of the toxic solvents some other companies use. Additionally, our products are Triple Lab Tested™ throughout our production process before being delivered to our customers.

Our CBD product lines have been chosen as the first legally available products by major foreign markets, like Brazil and Mexico. This distinction from doctors and health authorities around the world is unparalleled.
